Paul still has *it* at 75!
The Christmas Show live was finally seen by me, and I'm really glad. We got nosebleed seats as they were a great deal, and now I wish we'd spent a bit more for better seats. The Christmas Show put on an amazing show, regardless of where your seat was. It's hard to believe he is 75. He played for 2 hours and 40 minutes straight, with just a minute break between the main set and the encore. The man has mad skills and his voice is at 85-90%. His vulnerability just made him more endearing. Even now, when you see him live, you understand he didn't get to be where and who he is by luck or accident. The show felt intimate with lots of stories about The Beatles. The light show and pyrotechnics were exactly what you would expect for the most famous touring musician in the world right now. Every song turned into a singalong, and the collective love for this man and his music was palpable.
